Getting My Website Online
This white paper was written with the novice in mind. It is a list of the steps
necessary to get your website online and ready for people to view it. It also includes
a couple of things that are not necessary for getting your website online, but may
be needed or desired.
Our
Template Catalog
We have designed many websites from "scratch" using the descriptions of our customers;
however, this is a "catalog" of templates we can use to build your website. There
are over 90 templates on the catalog pages. Please note that not all templates can
be used in all situations. (Example: a template with 7 menu items
may be difficult to reduce to 3 menu items and still look good or vice versa.)
HIS Web Pricing Schedule
This is a general pricing shchedule for websites built by HIS Communications. Though
the schedule is only in general terms, we hope this will give you a "ballpark" idea
of what you might expect from our pricing. Feel free to contact us about it and
get a quote for your specific needs.
Setting Up Your Email On Outlook
This white paper was written specifically for those who have email through our hosting
or domain registration via
HISCommunications.net. It give specific steps to getting the POP3 email
set up in your Microsoft Outlook® email package. The screenshots are from Windows
XP®. If you need the process for a different version of Windows®, email
us and we'll get one out to you if we have one.

Website Color Chart
This site was built by the University of Washington;
however, it is a very good way for our customers to find a websafe color for backgrounds,
headers, etc. Find the color that best suits your taste
and tell us the hexidecimal number (ex:#0000FF) to use on your website.
Microsoft's Update site
If you don't have your computer set to do automatic updates of Microsoft software, we recommend that all customers who use
Microsoft O.S.s (like Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 98, etc.) set
their computers to automatically download the critical updates.
World Magazine
A news magazine. In our opinion, one of the best news magazines around. They have the up-to-date news.
They also have books of interest and movies of interest. Most of the articles are
written from a conservative perspective.
Answers In Genesis
Science from a Biblical perspective is waiting for you in the articles at this site.
In fact, they have a museum being built that is suppose to open in 2007. We get
their magazine and have also ordered some of their DVDs. The ones we have are excellent.
FBLA 10/09/09 PowerPoint
For the attendees of the FBLA Fall Conference at SPCC on October 9, 2009. This is the PowerPoint presentation given on that day by Jim Broadus. Click on the "FBLA" to get the PowerPoint 2007 version and on the picture to get an earlier version.
